Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

Life Ledger is a record you keep of your own life, so this policy is short and plain. It covers the Life Ledger Android app during the public beta. Life Ledger is operated by Likheet Shetty, sole trader, ABN 85 890 686 537, Sydney, NSW, Australia.

What Life Ledger collects

Only what you put in, plus what is needed to give you an account.

  • Your entries: tasks, goals, commitments, meals, and money or transaction records, including the original wording you typed or spoke.
  • Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo.
  • Payment notifications, only if you turn that on: the app can read payment notifications on your phone to record a transaction, and it keeps the notification text with that record. Today it recognises CommBank and Google Wallet notifications.
  • Settings, such as your reminder choices and custom categories.

Life Ledger has no analytics or advertising trackers. It has no crash reporting either.

Where it is stored

  • On your phone, in the app's own storage.
  • In your Life Ledger account, so your ledger stays in step across your devices. Account data is hosted with Supabase, a database provider.

Data is sent between your phone and your account over an encrypted connection.

When data is sent to an AI model

Spark, the assistant in Life Ledger, can read what you type or say in two ways.

  • On the phone. By default Spark reads your entry on the phone itself, and nothing is sent to an AI model.
  • With an AI model, when one is connected. If you connect a model in Spark's settings, the text you give Spark for that entry is sent to that model's provider so it can be read. Today the model you can connect is Google Gemini, using your own key.

Only the text you give Spark for that entry is sent, not the rest of your ledger. The review screen always says whether an entry was read on the phone or with a model. What the provider does with that text is covered by the provider's own terms and privacy policy.

If you use voice input, your phone's speech service turns your speech into text. Depending on your phone, this can happen on the phone or online through your phone's speech provider.

What is not done with your data

  • Your data is not sold.
  • Your data is not used for advertising.
  • Your data is not shared with anyone, except the service providers named above that store it or process it for the app to work, or where the law requires it.

Exporting your data

You can export your ledger from the app as a readable file at any time. An export only happens when you start it, and it goes where you choose to share it.

Deleting your data

  • You can delete individual entries in the app.
  • Uninstalling the app removes the copy stored on your phone.
  • To delete your account and the data stored in it, email founder@life-ledger.tech from the address you signed up with. It will be deleted within 30 days.

Children

Life Ledger is not intended for children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
